MakeCode
Graphical Programming
This robot car is based on the micro:bit development board and supports graphical programming via MakeCode. It comes with a comprehensive educational curriculum centered on graphical programming, allowing children to start learning to code with ease while developing their logical thinking skills.
Python Programming
In addition to supporting graphical programming via MakeCode, the platform also offers courses in Python. Python is simple to learn, widely applicable, and highly portable, making it a popular choice for transitioning from graphical programming to text-based coding.
Long-Lasting, Safe Portable Power Bank
Exclusive to Tiny:bit Plus
A battery holder is designed at the bottom, allowing for the direct insertion of an 18650 lithium battery to power the vehicle. The vehicle features built-in protection circuitry including reverse polarity protection, low-voltage protection, and overcurrent protection ensuring safe and reliable operation.
Optional WiFi camera video transmission module available
Exclusively for Tiny:bit Plus
Once powered on, the WiFi camera module automatically broadcasts a WiFi hotspot; simply connect your phone to it to view the real-time video stream. The module connects to the Tiny:bit Plus robot via a
serial port and is secured in place using a camera mount.
Equipped with a WiFi camera module for video transmission, the Tiny:bit Plus can capture details of its surroundings in real time. This allows users to remotely control the robot from a first-person perspective as if they were right there whether navigating through tight indoor mazes or exploring the outdoors, delivering a highly immersive and interactive learning and play experience.
E*WiFi video remote control is a feature exclusive to the app for the Tiny:bit
Plus version; the standard Tiny:bit requires the use of a dedicated Bluetooth remote control app.
Users who purchase the standard version of Tiny:bit
can later upgrade to the Tiny:bit
Plus version by purchasing an additional WiFi video transmission module.
AI Vision Features and How to Use Them
Exclusive Features and Gameplay for Tiny:bit Plus
The WiFi image transmission module features a built in color threshold segmentation algorithm and a lightweight convolutional neural network. It can accurately identify various objects such as specific colors, human faces, and QR codes within its field of view, and transmit the recognition results via a serial port to the micro:bit for display and decision-making.
