Functional Features
Original design with patented structure
·Linkage structure improves joint efficiency
The Hiwonder MaxArm adopts a linkage structure that significantly improves joint efficiency, so the end effector can move in three-dimensional space along the X, Y and Z axes.
·Mixed materials, compact structure, solid build
The body is built from hard aluminium alloy and carbon fibre, with metal bearings nested in the moving joints for minimal backlash and high precision. The compact design keeps the arm small and agile, so it is easy to play with on a desktop.
Its finish and precision far exceed desktop robotic arms made of 3D-printed material.
2. Free adjustment with inverse kinematics
·Linkage coordinate diagram provided
Built on the ESP32 development platform, we provide the inverse kinematics analysis of the MaxArm and its DH model, genuine technical material that helps you understand how the arm works.
·Convenient inverse-kinematics control
Enter the coordinates of the arm end and inverse kinematics calculates the angle of every servo, making it easier to debug more interesting movements. (Inverse kinematics function source code provided.)
·Detailed tutorials
Our inverse kinematics material is written for robot learners who love programming.
The tutorials explain seemingly advanced robotics kinematics in plain language, helping you use mathematical modelling to explore more features of the MaxArm.
3. Sensor expansion for more possibilities
MaxArm is also compatible with glowing ultrasonic, infrared, colour, touch, sound, light and dot-matrix modules and many other electronic modules, opening the door to imaginative projects.

| Emitting ultrasonic waves | color sensor | touch sensor | sound sensor | light sensor | digital tube module | infrared sensor |
01Ultrasonic palletizing
MaxArm can detect wooden blocks through ultrasonic sensors and achieve intelligent stacking.
02Touch placement
By using touch sensors, human-computer interaction with MaxArm is achieved to place wooden blocks by touch.
03Color sorting
MaxArm can recognize the color of wooden blocks through color sensors and achieve color sorting.
04Intelligent voice control
Identify the number of strikes through a sound sensor and place the wooden block in the corresponding position.
