PT. Mekatronik Solusi Cerdas was established in 2011 by a group of forward-thinking engineers from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), driven by a vision to bring practical robotic and automation technology to Indonesia. The company began by developing prototype robotic arms for research purposes and soon expanded into providing affordable SCARA robots tailored to local SMEs.
Early success was boosted by support from the Ministry of Research and Technology of Indonesia and collaborative field testing with academic and industrial partners. The debut of the MSC‑SR1 SCARA model built trust among electronics manufacturers and led to further innovation, including the high-speed MSC‑SR3K model with proprietary control software (MSC Motion Studio™).
By 2017, the company opened its first production facility in Bekasi to scale up manufacturing capacity. It began offering full integration services—ranging from robotic arms and pick-and-place systems to conveyor lines and PLC control solutions connected to MES platforms.
Today, PT. Mekatronik Solusi Cerdas serves as a trusted automation partner for leading Indonesian manufacturers and has expanded into neighboring markets such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. PT. Techtronic Nusantara sought to upgrade their semi-automated production line for assembling PCB modules. The goal was to:
