Product Description
BlueROV2 HEAVY is an extended version of BlueROV2. It has an 8-thruster vector configuration. BlueROV2's electronics and software are all open source and are sufficiently scalable, making it an ideal ROV for inspection, research, and adventure.
Real-time HD Camera and Lighting
BlueROV2 HEAVY has a high-definition (1080p, 30fps) wide-angle low-light camera installed on the front. The camera angle can be controlled by the gimbal. When using a single-degree-of-freedom gimbal, the operator can control the tilt of the camera to look up or down through the gimbal even when the ROV is in a horizontal state. BlueROV2 HEAVY also supports dual-channel gimbal expansion to obtain a wider field of view. The ROV can be configured with two or four dimmable lighting lights, providing up to 6,000 lumens of brightness to illuminate the deep water ocean.
Vector Thruster Configuration and Heavy Configuration
ROV thrusters use a vector arrangement with a high thrust-to-power ratio, enabling precise movement in any direction, achieving six-degree-of-freedom control, and greater load capacity.
Depth rating
BlueROV2 HEAVY is designed for a depth of 100 meters (330 feet). The actual pressure test was 300 meters, and the indicators of each module were normal.
Modular frame design and scalability
BlueROV2 HEAVY is a highly scalable observation-level ROV, with an open frame carrying electronic equipment and battery boxes, thrusters, buoyancy foam and ballast. This simple design is durable and scalable, and can easily carry other accessories, including cameras, forward-looking sonar, underwater GPS, etc. Users can design their own frame to replace the BlueROV frame to achieve any style of underwater robot!
Open source control software and user interface software
BlueROV2 HEAVY uses ArduSub control firmware. As part of the ArduPilot project, ArduSub brings many features and a wide range of users to the ROV. On shore, the operator controls the ROV through a portable computer and a gamepad controller. The portable computer is equipped with the open source GroundControl application, which provides users with real-time video streaming and sensor information.
